Coaching

The approach, defined plainly.

Every session is coaching. Hypnosis and Brainspotting are tools used within that coaching — never a substitute for medical or mental health care.

Tool 01

Hypnosis coaching

Guided hypnosis is a state of relaxed, focused attention — similar to being absorbed in a good book. In coaching we use it to rehearse new responses, reinforce the habits you choose and build calm and confidence.

  • You stay aware and in control throughout
  • You can stop at any time
  • Nothing happens that you don’t agree to
Tool 02

Brainspotting-based focus work

Lara is a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. Brainspotting was developed by David Grand, Ph.D., whose central discovery is that “where you look affects how you feel.” You hold your gaze on a chosen point while noticing what comes up in your body. In coaching we use it to build body awareness, steadiness under pressure and clarity about the patterns you want to change.

  • Interactive — you and Lara work together in real time
  • Works with the body and lived experience, not just thoughts
  • Goes beyond words — no need to talk everything through
  • Designed to reach below conscious thinking, where automatic responses live
Tool 03

Practical coaching

Clear goals, honest reflection and between-session practice. The aim is for you to leave each session with something you can use the same day.

  • Goal-setting and progress reviews
  • Short recorded practices to use at home
  • Simple daily exercises

Coaching focus

Where this coaching helps.

Attachment & relationship patterns

Many of us learned early ways of relating that once made sense — anxiously seeking reassurance, keeping people at arm’s length, or losing ourselves in other people’s needs. Coaching helps you notice these attachment patterns as they happen and practise steadier, more chosen responses.

  • • Spotting your pattern in real time
  • • Asking for what you need without over- or under-reacting
  • • Building self-trust and clearer boundaries
  • • Calmer conversations when things get close or tense

Everyday stress & anxious thinking

Deadlines, uncertainty and constant demands can leave the mind racing and the body braced. Coaching gives you practical tools to settle down, refocus and handle pressure with more ease.

If you have been diagnosed with, or think you may have, an anxiety disorder or panic attacks, please work with a licensed provider. You’re welcome to coach alongside that care.

  • • Settling your body on demand
  • • Quieting a busy mind before sleep
  • • Staying steady in high-stakes moments
  • • Rebuilding focus and energy

Habits you’re ready to change

Habits run on autopilot. Guided hypnosis lets you rehearse a different response until the new one feels natural, and coaching keeps you accountable to it.

Coaching is not a substitute for medical or specialist help with alcohol or drug use, eating concerns, or any condition you’re being treated for.

  • • Procrastination and avoidance
  • • Scrolling and screen time
  • • Nail-biting and other small habits
  • • Snacking on autopilot
  • • Being ready to quit smoking

When coaching isn’t the right fit

Coaching is designed for people who are generally doing well and want to grow. It isn’t right for — and Lara will refer you to licensed care for — any of the following:

  • Thoughts of suicide or self-harm (please call or text 988 now)
  • Trauma, PTSD, depression, or any diagnosed mental health condition
  • Alcohol or drug use, gambling, or eating concerns
  • Psychosis, dissociation, or recent hospitalisation for mental health
  • Anything you’re currently being treated for, unless your provider agrees coaching alongside is appropriate
